Whether you have a sweet tooth or love savory flavors (or both!), you’ll find a new favorite taste sensation at this Saturday’s Big Island Chocolate Festival gala. Tickets are still available but going fast so don’t wake up Sunday morning regretting that you missed the gala event of the season! The event is in the ballroom and outside courtyard at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. VIP access to indoor and outdoor booths starts at 5pm. General admission opens to our outside booths only at 5pm; doors open to everyone at 5:30pm.
Festive attire and empty bellies are recommended because we have more than 30 savory or sweet options, including wine, beer and specialty cocktail booths at this 6th annual event. Your ticket gets you unlimited access to all of the booths. Don’t be shy: going back for seconds and thirds and fourths are fully expected. Your favorite chefs from Huggo’s and Huggo’s on the Rocks, The Fish Hopper, Cafe Pesto, Hilo Sharks Chocolate, Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory, Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea, Padovani Chocolates, Cocoa Outlet / The Chocolate Guy and more will be serving up their unique and tasty dishes. What else? Our popular 4 ft chocolate fountain (a must every year!), fun photobooth with props, chocolate tattoos, dancing to the music of DJ EzE, and even a contest to win tickets to next year’s event.
This fundraising event benefits four local organizations: Kona Pacific Public Charter School, Kona Dance & Performing Arts, Waimea Country School’s Na Keiki Aloha ‘Aina and ACF Kona Kohala Chefs Association. Proceeds from our extensive silent auction benefit these organizations with items including Manta Ray Snorkels, works by renowned local artists, acupuncture, massage, restaurant gift certificates, and other service and tons more.
