2018 Big Island Chocolate Festival — Call for Beneficiaries

Presented by the Kona Cacao Association, the Big Island Chocolate Festival is a fundraiser that benefits local non-profits, preferably — but necessarily —associated with culinary education, cacao farming/education, local chocolate, farming or sustainability.  In 2017 we donated $17,500 to four non-profit organizations and we’re now accepting applications for 2018 beneficiaries. Click here for application details.

Application deadline is January 12, 2018. Recipients will be notified by January 31, 2018 and the funds will be awarded after the 2018 festival.  Awards will be given ranging from $500 to $6,000 and beneficiaries are expected to provide volunteers for the event and to help promote it to their networks.

The Big Island Chocolate Festival will be held April 27-28 at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.  For the third year in a row the luxurious Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is hosting this tasty festival, which culminates in a fabulous gala that offers sweet and savory chocolate dishes, unlimited wine and beer pours, a silent auction, music, dancing and great times shared with old and new friends. Gala tickets and hotel room packages (which include gala tickets) are available here!
